Portland Fire Draft TCU G Taylor Bigby 37th Overall
Taylor Bigby, a 6'1"shooting guard from TCU, was drafted 17th overall in tonight's 2026 WNBA Draft.
Earlier tonight, Portland picked promising international prospects Iyana Martín Carrión and Frieda Bühner.
With the 37th overall selection in the 2026 WNBA Draft, the Fire invited TCU guard Taylor Bigby to the Rose City.
Bigby’s potential move to Portland would mark a return to the Beaver State. Touting top 25 rankings from several recruiting services, the rising star verbally committed to Oregon in 2019. The Las Vegas native joined the Ducks two years later, playing nine games as a true freshman.
From there, the 6’1” guard transferred to USC, where she started eighteen games across two seasons. In 2024, the talented guard reconnected with former Oregon assistant Mark Campbell, who now led TCU’s program. Behind Campbell’s mentorship, her career took off: forty-four starts across two seasons, averaging 7.1 points in 23.5 minutes per game, while shooting 43.9% from the field and 36.9% behind the arc.
Bigby joins a crowded shooting guard rotation with free agent signing Karlie Samuelson, plus expansion draft picks Maya Campbell and Haley Jones.
