Los Angeles honored legendary center Lisa Leslie before the game, and their performance paid tribute to the hall-of-famer. Thanks to dominant post play, Los Angeles broke free with a 32-15 second quarter run, and never looked back.
Their interior attack freed up guard Nnemka Ogwumike for a big night, as she notched 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. As a team, Los Angeles shot 53% from the field.
Portland guard Carla Leite led all scorers with 23 points, while Megan DiLeo picked up 11 points, and Emily Engstler earned 10 points. Together, the Fire will face one more opponent this season: tomorrow night, Portland will host the Golden State Valkyries.
